September 14, 2016
NETELLER is a secure, safe and reliable banking option trusted not only by Australian gambling fans but players from all over the world who participate in online gambling. Virtually every single online casino, sports book, bingo and poker site out there accept NETELLER as a means of depositing and withdrawing funds to and from gambling websites. The sheer convenience, simplicity and security surrounding NETELLER make it an ideal banking option for online gambling.
This step by step instructional guide is intended for players who do not yet have a NETELLER account and are interested in opening one and using their services.
Step 1:
Visit www.neteller.com and click the “Join for free” link in the top right hand corner of the screen to get started.
Step 2:
Complete the account opening form with all your details (make sure to user your correct details). The currency you select when you first create your account cannot be changed after the account is opened. It’s suggested that if you plan on depositing funds into your NETELLER account in AUD for example that you choose AUD currency as the base currency for the account. It’s also advisable that you choose a strong password. Although NETELLER has several measures in place to protect your account ensuring that you create a strong password is the first line of defence in protecting your account.
Step 3:
After you’ve completed the form and successfully submitted the form after completion by clicking the “Join Now” button you will be taken to another screen. This screen contains a “6” digit number known as your NETELLER secure ID. It’s important to remember this number and to keep it in a safe place. Memorise it if you can but also write it down on a piece of paper and store it in a safe place as you’ll need to reference it when transferring funds to gambling sites, making withdrawals and generally interacting with NETELLER’s systems. Click on the “Deposit now” or “Go to my account” button/link in order to proceed to your account and get started.
Step 4:
Before you can make the most use of your NETELLER account you’ll need to verify your account. NETELLER has a 3 stage verification process each of which will need to be completed. To get started with the verification process click on the “verifying your account” link.
Step 5:
The first step in NETELLER’s verification process is to make a successful deposit into your NETELLER account. In order to do so you’ll need to use one of the many deposit options featured in the options they provide. Below is a full listing of deposit options currently available to Australian players looking to deposit into their NETELLER account.
Step 6:
After you have successfully completed your first deposit into your NETELLER account the next step will be to complete your security questions. These security questions are used when you login to your account but also during phone verification checks to verify your identity if you’re calling in to their customer support department. You’ll need to set all three security questions by selecting a different question and answer for each of the three required. After completing those click the “Save Questions” button which will then activate the final section to complete. The final verification is to send NETELLER scanned documentation to identify you. These documents requested will be scans of your drivers license or passport and a scanned copy of a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your address used when you registered the account.
Tips for Using Your NETELLER Account:
- Avoid using a VPN – NETELLER is strict about where you login to your account from. To avoid account suspensions, avoid logging into your account when you’re connected to a VPN (particular in cases where the VPN servers are in the United States). If you find that you’ve locked yourself out of your account it’s possible that this is the reason. They’re quite used to this at NETELLER however and all you’ll need to do is call them to let them know the situations and they’ll promptly unlock your account.
- Avoid keeping too much money in your account – These days NETELLER has a fairly strong reputation and although there is relatively low risk in keeping a lot of money (excess of AU$20,000) in your account we advise against doing so. NETELLER also has policies in place that if you hold in excess of AU$50,000 in your account for a period longer than 60 days that they’re request that you reduce your holdings with them below that amount. This is in order to comply with various financial regulator rules.
- Never give your Secure ID out – No one not even NETELLER will ever request your Secure ID from you either by phone or by e-mail. The only time you should be entering your Secure ID is when you’re making deposits and withdrawals using NETELLER either though their website or that of their clients (in cases where you’re making deposits).
- Setup 2 Factor Authentication – NETELLER offers 2 factor authentication to make accessing your account more secure. By turning on two factor authentication you can increase the security on your account significantly.
