Baccarat

Most online casinos today have Baccarat. This is an extremely popular card game that is often referred to as one of the more stylish cards games. The game has been around for generations and although each casino may have slight differences in their rules, or odds, the basic principles remain the same.

You play against the house and you will both receive a two card hand. An Ace is worth one point and the rest of the numbers (from 2 to 9) are all worth their face value. 10’s Jacks, Queens and Kings have no value, they are in fact worthless. The winning hand is the hand that is closest to 9.

If you are dealt a 2 and an 8 (2+8=10), then it would be worth zero points because you have a total of 10. You can draw another card if your total is low, to try and make it closer than the dealer to 9.

If the two cards that you are dealt are for example a 9 and a 10, you will have what is called a natural 9. This is the best hand that you could be dealt and you will more than likely beat the dealer unless he is dealt the same hand, in which case the game ends in a tie and you will get your money back.
